a boy named MADD..31 years ago in plymouth ma. a nurse had to climb on me mums belly and push my fat head out into this world before that i was a cave painter since then ive been an art student in MA studying graphic design/ commercial art,,then continuing studies in printing in upstate ny ..i worked for some local newspaper doing layout in highschool(while attempting to learn the basics of tattooing at home=stupid so i put that down for a grip!) after graduating from Lockport school in 93 i went right into nccc the only school that would accept me(i was a mulletwearinpothead in HS)after a few years in niagara i moved to wild and wonderful west virginia where i majored in art education/art therapy (boy did i need it)@ D&E college @ the time i was an art director @ seneca designs a company that made signs/t-shirts/etc. and hired the handicapped for slave labor. about this time i met Mark from fantasy dermagraphics who really took me in and let me mop his floors and draw for him ..after about 3 years in backwards ass WV i moved back to buffalo to finish my art studies at Buff state college i stayed there for a bout a year i was working as the graphic designer for Awnings Plus and finally had my fill of 5 years of college studying art from the same people who had been taught by people 20 years ago so i gave up my dreams of art ed or art therapy and decided that you should really be an artist before being a teacher so i broke my high school sweethearts heart and went on the road!and what a road it was i left wny with NO cash stole gas all the way back to plymouth (im the reason why you have to prepay!)i lived in massachusetts (in a mansion and in boston on the streets by choice ) for a while i was working as art director of Sign o Rama doing vinyl photo imaging etc. for large scale printing and yacht graphics..after a while i got bored of that so my travells took me to the middle of nowhere ohio..lima there i worked for signpro in the engineering dept.for neon channel letters ..by this time i was sick of the whole 9-5 buisness and i had just met my brother Krak he introduced me to old one eyed butch @ white wizard tattoos and i worked for butch for nearly 3 years helping him get his second buisness off its feet ..after parting ways with butch i worked for a short time for St. marq and lil brian brenner (that didnt last long) so i was back on the road @ this time about ..2000 mass had just legalized tattooing so i was headed back to cape cod to start a shop! i stopped by my old college town and met my manager bill brown,,my band mates Angry fuckin Soil ..the love of my life baby dawn ..and a ton of people that changed me life so here i am 7 years later still in the buff.. i own 2 tattoo studios 1 allentown Maddgrafix tattoo,,883 8282,,one in the buff state area across from goodbar Maddtat2 ..491 4888...a freelance graphic design/sign buisness Maddgrafix 491 4888
and a bitchin art gallery/studio that is now accepting new artists @ 1115 elmwood ave above maddtat2.Im constantly planning my next buisness/vacation.. youll catch me in hawaii@ a tiki tattoo,in hollywood @ atomic tattoo,in san deigo @ Pacific beach Tattoo or only God knows..maddlove and respect!
