Lack of Light:
After several changes in the former line-up, October 2005 witnesses the birth of Lack of Light: a thrash metal band formed by Ste [guitar], Davide [guitar/vocals], Meffo [bass] and Fede [drums]. The band immediatly resolves to write down its own music and, in may 2006, records a demo entitled "Another fuckin' EP" at the ELNOR STUDIO of Mattia Stancioiu [Labyrinth]. At this point, Ivan joins the band as a singer, and Lack of Light reaches its final formation. The band starts playing in the north of Italy in order to spread its music and get known, but in October 2006 Davide and Fede decide to leave. Davide will be replaced for a short time by Feel, while Fede will finally come back in January 2007. With Fede at his place again, the four guys decide to restart the songwriting that would bring to the recording of their first full-length, and at the same time they keep on playing live all around the north of Italy. Presently, the band has finished the recording of its self-produced debut album, "Shades of Reality". Guitarist Colo from Symmetric Disorder has joined the line-up, and the band will soon be back on stage to make some noise. For info and updating check out our MySpace profile.
SINaesthetics:
Synaesthesia is commonly described as a contamination of the five senses in the perception of what can be perceived. It's a stimulation [auditory, olfactory, cutaneous or visual] involuntary perceived as two different sensory events, distincts but related. Everyone is, at least in a small way, subject to this phenomenon: who does not think about the taste of a juicy red apple just by seeing it? The example of the apple wasn't made by chance. The apple is in fact the "forbidden fruit", the symbol of the original sin. Deviation from the orthodoxy, amoral act with a strongly negative meaning...this is "sin". Then whay are we so tempted by it? Maybe because it's really fascinating in several forms, almost beautiful in the moment in which it's consumed...before you have to pay the consequences of your choice. Aesthetics is a philosophical discipline that studies new ways of seeing and of perceiving sensori-emotional values, the judgements of sentiment and taste...and also sin may be tasteful. Often.
