ABOUT JAKE AND THE JAKES: Jim and Sean have been writing songs together since the Palaeolithic Age. Originally they started out writing musical scores for the deaf. When that endeavor failed miserably they wanted to move on to something different. Both musicians have a wonderful fondness of rock and roll, and so it was written, started or whatever you'd like to say. After a period of time they had somehow started to develop a sound and were actually now writing decent music. It was time to form Jake and the Jakes. In steps Jeff Murray. Sean's cousin. Although Jeff was a guitar player at heart, Sean and Jim changed him to a bass player practically over night. This was accomplished after many weeks of torture and anguish by locking Jeff into a small room that was pumping the ideas Jim and Sean had written through very loud rock and roll type speakers. When Jeff finally came to his senses and agreed the inception of the band was formed. That was back in December of 2005. So a few short years later the rock trio is poised to celebrate their 3rd studio release and 4th disc overall. An amazing journey it has already been. It promises to get stranger if not better when its all said and done. Whenever that will be...who knows? Just listen in and enjoy.
