Back To Scratch

About Me

Hi Gonzo here drummer with Back To Scratch.Formed around the mid 80"s first as a covers band with a few originals in our set. Then said one day to hell with that lets do our own thing. To cut a long story short we ended up been managed by Rusty Egan who was head of Mother Records at the time and a former member of Rich Kids, Visage,Midge Ure and played drums on the track "Old Town" from the Phil Lynott album. We went in to record an album in Windmill Lane Studios in "89 for "Off The Track Records which we had signed to, it was engineered Eddie Donavan[band member] and Produced by Clive Martin who had worked with Queen, Soft Cell,The Cure and a host more.He has worked since with Sting and The Stereophonics to name a few Sadly the album never got released.A well thats Rock n" Roll. The first four tracks are taken from that session in Windmill Studios and the last two are taken from a session a little while back,we went back after all these years to see if there was still a little magic left in us and I think there was.All songs were written by Philip Scott lead singer and songwriter with the band [click on his site below, some nice songs in there] Only had room to put two new songs. We do have a lot more. Regrets; I dont have any I am proud of been part of this band and part of these songs Would love you to comment on what you hear or send me a message and i will get back to you Until then,Take care Gonzo[drummer] Dont forget ; Its all about the songs!
