About Me

Traumatism wasted no time to experience the death/grind evolution and that, from the start with the recording of Truculent mini-cd, in 1997 and later the infamous Grossly unfair... album in 2000 making them for sure the most brutal and extreme band in the Québec city area. Having now performed at many occasions in the provinces of Québec and Ontario with bands such as : Voivod, Strapping Young Lad, Dying Fetus, Brutal Thruth, Cryptopsy, Suffocation, Incantation, Skinless, Kataklysm and many others, the band has obtained the necessary live experience to make of their shows a really intense performance. Traumatism also released a 7.. vinyl Traumatical pieces and a split cd with grinders Mesrine and Nyctophobic. When Patrick Juneau(vocals) and Dany Provencher (bass) left the band in 2004, Kevin Bottiau (guitar) and Stephane Lamontagne (drums and back vocals) didn..t give up, they decided to continue the band and composed over twenty five new songs, each more intense than the last. To realise the new Traumatism project, the guys needed a singer and bassman, that is when Jo Ampleman (vocals) came in with his aggressive and wide ranged vocals to feel the spot. Vincent Demers (bass) joined the band during the summer of 2006 to seal the deal. Traumatism have recorded 19 new songs during the summer of 2005 with Guillaume Desmeules on bass and it is now remastered for a better sound quality. A cdr including 7 songs are now available for medias and labels. Contact the band for more informations. ..
