FOR THE ANTICIPATED ENGLISH READERS! I am hoping to sing at the Tet Trung Thu @ my Viet School this Fall. I am also very busy with highschool. I am running for full time president for CSF and as the years/semesters progress, i might have the courage to assist in Key Club, German Club, etc... I am very sorry with the unentertainment. No music, no fun, no voice. At this time I'm in the process of recording songs. Believe me, I sang and memorized a lot of lyrics. I am working extra hard with my singing and time is so hard to manage because in the fall, I will be learning 4 AP/H classes. People do not understand how long I've worked, how long I've lounged, the effort I put into the test. I sometimes want to quit singing because everything is so hard, but i don't quit. I will never stop singing because singing is my dream. :)
Ever since she was little, she always had a passion with music. At the age of 5, she learned how to sing Vietnamese poems without having to read the lyrics. She loved to sing karaokes at numerous birthday parties and wedding ceremonies; however, she did not begin her vocal studies until the age of 14 because she was so afraid to admit her connection with music. At the age of 12, during her first year of junior high, she learned how to play the Oboe--a difficult musical instrument that is rarely taught to musicians. Since then, her relationship between her classical singing and role as a teen Oboist had a similarity: they blended into one form of a distinct voice. Not only can she play the Oboe but also the piano. One day, she sang a traditional folk song at her Vietnamese Ceremony in Elk Grove of California. After the performance, the teachers and staff of the language school was curious to know what made her voice sound so mature at such a young age. They questioned her if she knew how to sing and asked if she would like to perform in several of their festivals such as the Tet Trung Thu or the celebration of the Lunar New Year. On the contrary, she said no in regards of knowing she wasn't ready to entertain.
In grade school, she was a shy young girl in elementary and wasn't fond of making new friends. In class she rarely spoke (except during group discussions) and was usually known as someone with a solemn personality. In later years she began to open her inner feelings, and tried her best to engage in social contact with her peers. Even though she doesn't have a "best friend" nor a "close friend," she tries her best to stay in contact with her friends. As of today she is still a hard worker and never gives up in any goal even though bad luck can somewhat be on her side. Furthermore, she plans to obtain not only a major in the VN Music Industry but also in Business Management.
She is currently busy with attending 3 schools (highschool, community college, and VN School), and hopes to do well in all standards. Since Spring '08, going out with friends or relaxing at home was somewhat difficult. While focusing on these academic standards she can also sing in Korean and Japanese. Flawlessly pronouncing words but not understanding their meaning terrifies her which is why she is eager to become fluent in additional languages. Many of her colleagues wonder how she manages her time, but she has no secret to this question. The answer is: Never underestimate your abilities even though you are young because anything is possible.FINAL PERFORMANCE ON 6/13/09
