Well, I am originally from Ventura, CA. I left to go to college at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo where I got my bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology, not exactly my life's calling but it is a college degree. I now live in Los Osos right near the beach, you can't beat the central coast. I've always loved the outdoors and that's where I spend pretty much all of my free time, so when the opportunity came up to work for the Forest Service on a wildland fire crew, I jumped on it. I love my job, basically I get paid to hike around in the forest with a bunch of friends and play with fire. Not to mention you can't beat the time off, 6 months a year!
My hat's off to those friends who made starting off 2007 better than any other year has ever started before. January 1st, 2007, a date that will live in infamy, Viva Bohemian Rhapsody, Keep that rock-opera rocking!!
