About Me

***Click Here to buy The Backpacker (10 track CD or MP3)******************************************************** ********* After playing in a number of pub / club bands over the years, a solo debut from a singer songwriter who finally sorted his s**t out and emptied his head into a C.D.. Based loosely on the time he spent bumming around Australia, the Far East and Anywhere Else, here daydreams poetry and punk interweave with indie acoustic and country. ************************************************************ * ..

************************************************************ ** All proceeds to be spent on beer and the next C.D................. :) CDBaby Click Here or if you prefer - iTunes Here :) ************************************************************ ** If you have ever Backpacked, or are ever planning to, The Backpacker is one for your mp3 player / ipod. If you've never been lucky enough to travel, stick it on, sit back, close your eyes - it's almost as good! ************************************************************ **... It's funny how things change, having lugged a battered acoustic guitar halfway around the world at one stage, this was going to be a purely acoustic album in the good ol' singer / songwriter style. Even tracks like "City", “Killer” and the tongue-in-cheek ”Legend (Crazy Bus)” stood up well acoustically, but it seemed a shame not to drag out the Telecaster and Ibanez bass……. and before you know it them punk roots are showing through! There’s even a bit of a country feel going on in “Midnight Song” and “Roadtrain”, and for you acoustic purists, “Love Bites Twice". ************************************************************ **First live performance was at three years old - jumped on a stage at a wedding and sang "she loves you yeah, yeah, yeah", (allegedly). Started playing guitar in teens, learnt a few chords and wrote some songs and played at local folk club a couple of times. Busked and travelled, been in quite a few different bands*, played pubs and clubs around the Southeast / London, a few people might remember "The Split Kippers" who were either fantastic or crap, depending on whether you were as drunk as they were at the time! "The Backpacker" was a simmering ambition, some of the songs were thought up on the road or just after returning from a trip (when all you wanna do is go again!) ************************************************************ ** *The Split Kippers (Rock / Punkrock ), Parlour Games ((Dorset) Brit Invasion / rock), Cascade (50's / 60's club band), Loose Moose ( Rock / 90's music) ************************************************************ ** The Backpacker is my debut album...the next one is on the way ..........
