We hope while you’re here you’ll get a taste for our style of country music, Australian Country!
We hail from the small towns of Bimbi and Quandialla in rural New South Wales, Australia. Our sound is inspired by the rich tapestry of rural life, by our family and by our love of sharing true blue Australian country music with whoever cares to listen.
We are a family vocal group that strives to bring a genuine Australian sound to every performance, whether it’s in nursing home, charity fundraiser or on the big stage, you’ll get our heart and soul every time!
The Battlers consist of four members Shaun Minnick, Kirsten McAlister who are brother and sister and Michael and Bill Verde who are brothers and also 1st Cousins to Shaun and Kirsten. We grew up very close always together and are all best mates.
The name The Battlers derives from the fact that we consider ourselves country and country people are great battlers, drought, flood, lost crops etc.
We look forward to singing and entertaining and we enjoy meeting people and love the adrenaline rush we get from performing for an enthusiastic and fun loving crowd.

We are big fans of supporting our community and do many charity concerts and $2 from the sale of every one of our albums goes to the Breast Cancer Foundation, a Charity very close to our hearts as our grandmother and Bill and Michael's mum both suffered from Breast Cancer.
We thank our fans and the many talented musicans and performers who have added to our success! Without you we could not do what we do!
