Their theology is a combination of black nationalism and marxist-leninist thought. what does that mean? The goal of a Leninist party is to orchestrate the overthrow of the existing government by force and seize power on behalf of the proletariat (the working class/common folk). Marxism is a theoretical-practical framework based on the analysis of conflicts between the powerful and the subjugated. They woprked with white radicals and hoped the party would be a revolutionary vanguard dedicated to overthrowing the capitalist society and fighting against police brutality. I have so much respect for what the panthers tried to do, and for their time they dd what was neccesary. Now, in 2008, we must try to take a different road to achieve our goal of equaility. we must fight our battle in school. Huey P. Newton was not considered dangerous because he was violent, he was dangerous because of his education and his knowledge.
