Dying Van Gogh Records is an independent boutique record label with national and international major distribution. DVG was established in 2008 by singer/songwriter Ed Hale (of the rock group Transcendence) - who already owned the TMG Records label since 1998, and Transcendence bass player (and Ex Norwegian singer/songwriter) Roger Houdaille - who had also founded and owned his own label - Dippy Records - since the early 2000’s. Hale and Houdaille decided to start Dying Van Gogh as a combined effort to pool the talent and resources of both their labels together to form a bigger and more effective company.
Their objective was not only to gain more control over their own individual various musical projects, but also to discover other artists around the world who might not be getting the attention they deserve and help them get their music out to fans who just might be dying to discover it. DVG is a fledgling young company in the infancy of what will hopefully be a long life of finding and releasing the music of some brilliant and special musical artists. But the company is surviving and thriving on the passion of a small staff of employees and interns who are all dedicated to and enthusiastic about great music.
DVG currently has offices in New York City and Miami. Artists currently signed to the label are: Ex Norwegian, Ed Hale, Transcendence, Andy Pratt, DJ Kamran Aghaiepour, and Dreaming in Stereo. We are always looking for new talent and new people to join our team. Please email [email protected] for more information.
