Be The Person You Were Created To Be

About Me

Hey what's up? I'm Cher. I am a 22 year-old Gila River Pima, Eastern Cocopah, Salt River Maricopa & Ft. McDowell Yavapai-Apache. I live in the village of Komatke on the Gila River Indian Community of Arizona.Me, I'm pretty cool... I get along with people who are upfront with their feelings and aren't afraid to ask for what they want. I like to write, I love to cook and hang out with my family. I'm a SERIOUS homebody, sometimes not by choice, but what can I say? that's just life on the rez. I don't know what else can be said about me other then: I'm a good friend, pretty funny, a natural nurturer, VERY empathetic and sometimes a lil too blunt. So I guess that's me, if you want to learn anything else, just ask!

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

My fellow Natives, some people who are creative and real. I'm really open to all people and if you don't think we can be friends, just hit me up and tell me why, and I'll tell you why you're right.

Music:

I love music! I just do... my favorites are music from my tribes. I am a classically trained Mezzo Soprano Opera singer and sometimes I miss it. I like Music that makes me think, believe or comprehend.

Movies:

I watch a lot of documenteries and Indie Comedies. I love movies that show true humanity, that make me think and are touching.

Television:

I watch some TV here and there; my favorite shows are: The Daily Show, Colbert Report, Scrubs, South Park, Mind of Mencia, Style Her Famous, Good Eats, Kylie Kwong, Isaac & Ace of Cakes!

Books:

I am a huge Shakespeare fan! My favorite are his sonnets. I have read and loved: Romeo & Julliet, Othello & Hamlet. Click Here for Shakespeare's Complete Works! Currently, I'm reading Reading Lolita In Tehran: A Memoir In Books

Heroes:

I look up to anyone who has ever taught me about myself or the world I live in here is one of the people who have taught me plenty.
