Comma is a band which was formed since 2007. We come from Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. Our band bases on shoegaze genre mixed with rock. We are : Ode (vocalist), Yudha (guitarist), Ilham (bassist), Fahmi (drummer), Yadi (keyboardist). We gathered as we have a same interest in one of music genre (shoegaze).
Why we called our band Comma?. Because we try to mix the separate shoegaze and rock into one perfect form.
At the first time, we were just a prom night band which is formed then perform for just one night on 2005. At that time our band was called "Kemet" which the players are mostly from Comma. Some of them are Fahmi, Ilham, Yudha. As the grow of music each of ourself inside, finally we met again in 2007. We was gathered for the second time by Yudha who willing to form a shoegaze pop band. That was happen as we added a new player, Dixie (guitarist), Yadi (keyboardist), Yudi (vocalist). And so it was the birth of Comma.
From the beginning of 2007 till June 2008 we had create 14 song and also perform on different stage in Bandung, Indonesia. Some of our hits song : "Introlude, One nation, A new experiment" we had play on "Pop Up Goes Punk '08", "Maiawed '08", "X-mild LPKIA '08", "Food Fest STBA '08", "Prom Night SMA 7 '08".
In the beginning of June '08, we decided to turn our genre into shoegaze rock and replaced some of the player till be the new Comma. Our reason to do some change is because of natural thing. The grow of each song making progress from time to time that finallly made a conclusion that we are a shoegaze rock band.
Until now we (with a new format) have been created 5 song, include "Lights off" which you can hear it on our profile and other songs like : "Fragile Into The Deep Ocean", "One Nation (acc version)", "Sleeps Awake", "Brother In Vainity" will soon be added onto our myspace playlist.
We hope our band would involve coloring the music variety, grow from it and also be the inspiration. Furthermore we hope that our music could be a life spirit and a good exprience for anybody.
