About Me

Betina has played her own songs at the Bottom Line with the Fast Folk, at the C-Note, the Knitting Factory, and live on WFUV. She has toured the world as a performer, as far as Japan and Lebanon. In the musical theater world, she has played Meg in the National Tour of Phantom of the Opera, Jackie (they changed to roll into a woman so she could play the guitar in the show) in Pump Boys and Dinettes, Anybodys in the International Tour of West Side Story, etc. She wrote her first songs as a kid. She writes folk and jazz songs on her guitar alone, or with Nick Russo or Steve Sweeting. She writes musical theater songs with Denver Casado or Eddie Guttman. Lately she has been writing childrens musicals and songs that she can slip into a jazz set. She loves getting everyone around her to write and sing songs, because life needs to be expressed through the arts and everyone should experience this sharing.
