Super Paradise sees brothers Daniel and Francis team up with long time friend Ben on what has developed from bedroom studio experimentation to to a stripped down live set that has been stirring interest in the Scottish music scene.
In May 2003 the three decided to bring together instrumental sounds they had been working on individually. Early experiments were governed by the maxim: keep it original and keep it short. Fusing elements of Post-Rock, Funk-Fusion, Electronica and Film Score, a sound evolved that sometimes blended, sometimes jammed together their different ideas.
Although Super Paradise was only intended to be a recording project, curiousity got the better of them and at the end of 2003 the band started live rehearsals. Working with a line-up of guitar (Daniel), bass (Ben) and keyboards (Francis) playing over a stripped down backing track, a rawer, heavier live sound evolved.
A busy 2005 saw the band performing at (amongst others) the 13th Note Cafe and The Universal in Glasgow, The Bongo Club in Edinburgh and the T Break 2005 showcase at the Liquid Room, Edinburgh.
Super Paradise continue to write and record new material, aiming to take their music to a wider audience in 2006.
