MUSICIANS AGAINST ABUSE ™

Who We Are:
"Musicians Against Abuse" is an awareness organization.
Conceived, structured and fully staffed by volunteers.
Abuse of any person or animal is unacceptable within a civilized society.
The main objective of Musicians Against Abuse is to bring public attention to the alarming extent of abuse that occcurs on a daily basis.
We maintain this web site devoted to the subject of abuse, where we strive to inform and educate the myspace community.
This in itself, may have been enough, but we wanted to bring our knowledge, news and concern directly to the general public.
So we embarked upon making a difference for all those affected by abuse.
Any type of abuse, human or animal.
Our dilemma at that point became finding a vehicle with which to make that difference. We settled upon music, the universal language, to gather crowds of other concerned citizens within our immediate locale.
A great idea needs a venue so we turned to our personal acquaintances and asked them for help. The response was overwhelming!
With so much willingness and talent, we had our answer:
Concerts, Rock Concerts!
Not only would crowds of fellow citizens be entertained by top local talent at popular local clubs, but they would have the opportunity to take up the cause of abuse and become part of the solution!
Mission Statement:
To bring the alarming statistics of abuse to the public.
Why We Do What We Do:
Each person who claims a cause as their own has a reason for doing so.
Some have personally experienced abuse first hand.
Others may have friends, relatives, coworkers, etc. whose horror stories they have heard about.
There are others, who are just outraged by injustice in general.
Whatever the reason, involvement is the only way to conquer pain, suffering and social injustice.
Perhaps some of you have heard the following quote:
"In order for evil to triumph, it is only necessary that good people do nothing" - Edmund Burk
We have found there are no lack of "good people"
Each of us directly involved in Musicians Against Abuse have found unparalled support from virtually everyone we know.
All of whom have been eager to help, and even to learn more about abuse in order to fight a common enemy. Each one of our family members, friends and colleagues have offered their support in many forms.
The enthusiasm has been heart warming and encouraging to us in our new undertaking.

Every living being deserves to live in peace. Help us make that a reality.
Who Benefits From Our "Benefits"?
All proceeds (tickets, t-shirts and bumper sticker sales) go to local New England abuse charities.
The venue and talent are all lovingly donated by local musicians and club owners.
