About Me

Growing tired of the constraints of sequencers, samplers and loops, and inspired by the likes of Oren Ambarchi and Keith Fullerton Whitman, London resident Stephen Christopher Stamper made the decision to open himself up to the joys of spontaneous music making. Armed with a copy of Miller Puckette's Pure Data, a laptop and a MIDI guitar controller, Stephen began experimenting with real-time processing, running pure sine-tones and sawtooth waves through banks of delays, shufflers and filters in order to create a series of warm, improvised drones teeming with microscopic life...
