Torus: In geometry, a torus is a doughnut-shaped surface of revolution generated by revolving a circle about an axis coplanar with the circle.

Torus; formed in late 2005 by 4 local musicians
with similar musical roots, creative drives, and the desire to break artistic boundaries. Hailing from the New Haven, CT area they began their infusion into the local musical scene, bringing an array of genre fusions, progressive time signatures, and meter changes. To date the various venues played cover most of the state of Connecticut ranging from clubs, bars, halls, and college campuses, including stops at local radio stations as well.
Torus offers a truly unique and all original approach of funk, hard rock, jazz, and blues that cant be found anywhere else. As musicians they exploit the vast differences in styles and influences that each player brings, while compelling each other to escape the bonds of the safe and the known to arrive in a place of wonder and uncertainty.
