Quasia La’Raine Johnson also known as
Rayne, was born in New York on October 19th 1991. Born of Native American descent, she has always had a passion for music and dance. While performing native dances at many family Pow-Wows her family noticed her singing words to the native beats. She was also exposed to a large variety of music living in New York. The strong influence of Reggae, Hip-Hop, and Old school R& B, such as Dennis Brown, Erik B and Rakim, and DeBarge, helped her strengthen her fascination for music. She was also exposed to Classical Rock and Classical County & Western at an early age by her mother. She enjoys the sounds of Lynyrd Skynyrd and George Jones. At the age of 6 her mother moved her and her older brother to Atlanta Georgia where she adopted southern style music.
Quasia took part in many Fashion/Modeling Shows. She also performed at several church functions in and around Decatur, Georgia. While playing around singing on Christmas night 2007 at a Family Christmas Party, her cousin Nicole London owner of Musa Management was blown away. That was the beginning of her music career. She auditioned for one of Atlanta’s upcoming producers 3 days later, where it was discovered that she had a endowment for songwriting as well. . Since then Quasia has been working with Musa Management, Roc 1 Productions, and Lonnie Robinson Productions, which is also her vocal trainer and co-songwriter. She has completed 4 songs to add to her Demo CD thus far. She has appeared as an extra in DJ Unk’s video “Show Out†as well as Club Endenu showcasing her music.
