I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Grew up in Northern California surrounded by Redwoods, weed, fog, and an army of junky bums, sidewalk winos and Dead following hippies. I don't have any tattoos. When I was young someone told me that, with a little HARD WORK, I could be the President of the United States someday. That's when I discovered what bullshit was (the fall of Santa Claus was soon after). And I don't care what anybody says, there is a big difference between organic peanut butter and the corporate peanut butter that actually tastes good (but yes, the Corporate Culture sucks major ass). Walmart can suck it. Best Historical Era: the Reformation. Best Explorer: Magellen. Best candy bar: Twix. Best President: Washington, of course. Best War: Peloponnesian. Best pasttime: writing letters. My inner animal is the Magpie. I wanna give the childlike emperess a new name and save Fantasia.

My Interests

Reading, music, rock, folk rock, Archaeology, American history, anthropology, wild whiskey, wild flowers, geology rocks, scrabble games, getting religion out of representation, naturalists, the great outdoors, mountains, fishing, obscenely giant movie screens, liberal politics, tea and dark beer, records, playing pool, travel, music, "down home" cooking, porch parties, bad humor, thrift store instruments, the color green, and turning bad soft rock into sad country ballads...

I'd like to meet:

I work a few days a week at a bar up on Broadway. Like any bar we have our collection of eccentric bar flies and annoying drunks but I have to feel that our location on Capitol Hill is responsible for...

Lychnobite

I have insomnia. It has been coming and going, off and on, since the teen years and since then I have adapted to be one of those late night workers you think about when you might walk by a lighted win...
