Quiana has always had dreams of making it big as a vocalist. She comes from a musical family where her great grandmother was a well known organist in the mid-west, her grandmother was a classically trained organist and her mother sacrificed her dreams of being a vocalist for better chances for Quiana She grew up in Kalamazoo, MI, where she got her start. Her first solo was in the second grade at Arcadia Elementary's brotherhood program where she sang Whitney Houston's "The Greatest Love of All", getting her a standing ovation. From then on, she was a local "star". Growing up in church, she was apart of several choirs, and the adult and youth praise teams. A few members of the young adult ministry along with other young adults in the community formed a group called "Unified Praise" in 2002. As a member of the group she traveled around the US having the opportunity to perform with Kierra "KiKi" Sheard, Bobby Jones, Marvin Sapp and many others. In 2005 Quiana relocated to Durham, NC to attend school at North Carolina Central University, where she is currently majoring in Music Education and Jazz Studies. She studies under the tutelage of Jazz Recording Artist, Lenora Helm, Metropolitan Opera Performer Elvira Green, and Recording Artist in Residence Branford Marsalis. As a student in the Jazz Studies program, Quiana has performed with Jazz greats such as Carmen Lundy, Cedar Walton, David "Fathead" Newman, Wes "Warm Daddy" Anderson and plenty of others. While in Durham, Quiana connected with Internationally known recording artist Darien Brockington otherwise known as "D-Brock" who connected her with producers E Jones and Khrysis and 9th Wonder who have all produced tracks for the Hip-Hop sensation "Little Brother" amongst other successful recording artists. Quiana's main influences are Faith Evans, Donnie Hathaway, Musiq Soulchild, and Stevie Wonder.
