Brilliant songs, energetic performances, professional attitude and four good-looking musicians. What else do you need? Well, tons of good luck and people backing your cause, but they seem to have that side covered too thanks to the small but devoted group of fans out there.
The tale of the Dogs begun in the summer of 2007. After writing a good set of songs the band did its first gig in January 2008. Since then it has been a steady uphill journey. Although the Dogs are always eager to get into the rehearsal room to record and produce their songs as a group, the main goal at the time is to go and play as many gigs as they can.
In the today’s world of indie rock hype, Year of the Dog plays simple yet fresh rock ‘n’ roll music with a twist of the 80’s hero-like guitar shredding and singing. Guitar rock, like it should be done.
The band consists of four friends: Miikka de Vocht (bs, bg voc), Teemu Seppälä (gtr, bg voc), Toni Mustonen (drs, crazyness) and Lauri Yrjölä (gtr, voc).
