Jerry Glidewell

songwriter Jerry Glidewell recently landed 7 cuts on the CO3 (Christian Contemporary) album "Determined", and co-wrote the band's single "Be Still." The song reached the top 20 (3 weeks) on the R & R charts during the early part of 2008.Glidewell's writing emphasis continues to be targeted for the commercial Country market. He's a former keyboard player for Carrie Underwood. She performed a couple of his songs during her pre-idol days with the band "71 South." His song "Swept Away" was runner-up in the CMT/NSAI song contest in 2004. During the Spring, Glidewell signed 5 songs with AudioBrain for the 2008 Summer Olympic games in Beijing, China.As a jingle writer, Glidewell has written for banks, car dealerships, the United Way, Old Fort Days Rodeo, etc. His goal as a songwriter is to write a "standard" that will live on for many generations to come. He is a member of BMI, NSAI, GMA, SongU and Taxi.Growing up in Southern California, Glidewell was surrounded by many musical influences. Living in Las Vegas during his teen years gave him an expanded appreciation of the entertainment industry. Moving to Arkansas during his Junior year of high school, opened his ears to the country and gospel market. During College, Glidewell played baseball at the University of Arkansas Fort Smith and graduated from the University of the Ozarks.Cynthia Glidewell, Jerry's wife, is an author (Red Hat Society Travel Guide) and consultant. Jerry and Cyndi have two children living at home, Jay (age 14) and Emily (age 18), both of whom they adopted from a Bulgarian orphange in 1997.
