The Telephones U.K

About Me

Formed in Derby in 2007. The Telephones bring you a mix of bluesy-folk-indie-rock-pysch pop tunes, ready to fill your brains with stuff and nonsense, whilst feeding your aching souls with the melodies they long for!! We have played around the UK supporting the likes of John Power (The La's, Cast), The Troubadours, Six Nation State, Tom Hingley and Mark Morriss from The Bluetones and will soon be coming to a town near you..............'They’re four mates from Derby, intent on creating brand new music that’s rooted in a quintessentially British tradition, though one that's tinged with elements of Haight-Ashbury. It’s a sound with a timeless quality. Innovative and contemporary, yet taking you right back to the golden age. Meet The Telephones. A band with a definite psychedelic, folky feel. They have a look and strut that’s just right for the vibe that’s buzzing right now. And a sound that is acoustic and melodic in part, strong and hard in others' - Rob Massey SohoStrut Magazine Contact Us For Tickets
