About Me

I have just written a very long about me, and then myspace crashed, so here goes again...
About me, well...
My name is Helen, and i use the name Nell has it was my Mum's name, and i want to continue to keep her name alive... So Nell's Designs is because i do digital paintings, posters, websites, leaflets, logos, you name it, digitally i can enhance, remove spots, make you look slimmer, fatter, blah blah blah...
I have a job where i work helping run a charity that helps people with neurological conditions.
And work as a craft teacher, one morning a week, i teach crafts to adults, some with learning difficulties, all love to create, and i find it a rewarding job.
I am also a secretary for a group of carers, who get together for a coffee morning, and have become great friends, going out on trips, and looking out for each other.
I have lots of hobbies, that have become profitable, as i do lots of workshops, craft fairs, events, of which i get paid for for being there, which keeps the bank manager happy!
My hobbies consists of making and selling....Fudge, yep the sweet stuff, then i make jewellery, usually bracelets, then i make vegan, and vegetarian type soaps, that do not contain parabens, animal essences, none of them are needed to make natural soaps, i make perfume, shampoos, body scrubs, body lotions, and lots more, check out my website which is http://www.simplyscentful.co.uk its only a mrsite website as i got it as a gift, but its feasible. (although not quite finish)
I had singing lessons 7 years ago, and i love singing, but, when the guy wanted us to do a night in the pub singing, i got stage fright, and sadly end of my singing career as i saw it! all my dreams were shattered!!! so i have remained singer to shower curtains!!!
And any lucky neighbour that hears me bellowing my voice under the shower!
I would like to have proper guitar lessons, as i once bought, and then took back a guitar!!! yeah sadly i took the guitar back, i bought it from that place near Manchester Uni, it was a right handed guitar, i am left handed, it was never going to work!!!
And the strings, were iron slivers! i swear! my fingers were ripped to shreds, not very girlie i thought, i looked like i had put my fingers in the shredder...
So maybe i bought the wrong type of guitar, for a beginner...but i was a novice to the choice!!!
In my defence, i would like to take up guitar again but with a teacher, and maybe he/she can get me over the stage fright!
I can talk the talk, teach, i can be quite confident selling, but singing, i have to say i freeze!
