1998~2006: Upon leaving school Paul immediately started work at HMV. This helped expose him to various styles and genres of music, which in turn enabled him to study in depth what makes a song popular among the public. In the early 2000’s he enjoyed success at local theatres with a musical for which he wrote and produced all of the music. He also dipped his toes into the acting pool having done extra work on such acclaimed films as “About a Boy” and popular UK TV series’ such as “Midsomer Murders”. As well as these ventures Paul also decided to start learning Japanese in his own free time. At around this time Paul met Tony Clark. Tony had previously been a long term sound engineer for "The Beatles" at Abbey Road Studios. Upon hearing his music Tony immediately took a liking to Paul's talents and took it upon himself to help further enhance them. By the year 2006 Paul had been writing songs for 11 years. Having frequently been inspired by both Japan's music and culture Paul found himself wanting to give something back. Because of this desire he made the decision to start fusing his love of Japan's native tongue with that of his music. He continued to work at HMV until 2007 whereby he chose to part ways so that he could devote more time to his musical aspirations. 2007~Present: On December 8th , 2007, Paul became the first British citizen to release an original Japanese song, "ほっとする"worldwide incorporating both English and Japanese lyrics. To help create awareness he personally took it upon himself to plan and oversee an acoustic Live House tour throughout Tokyo. Writing his lyrics in Japanese yet with a foreign frame of mind, he was welcomed as a refreshing and exciting new experience for both fans and live house owners alike. Shortly after this venture he was approached to be involved in a new project for Sony. He was asked to both write and produce an original song for an up and coming Sony Playstation 3 game, which is now due to be released worldwide in the early stages of next year. At present Paul is currently writing and producing more material for both himself and other artists.
