About Me

The Danish techno scene has many players but only one that fits the following description:
DJ, producer, party thrower, professional to the bone and endearing extraordinaire. Adding a busy factor = 1000, you have MHM One – the one of a kind wunderkind from Copenhagen.
MHM One began his creative career juggling graffiti, singing and playing the drums in various bands. It was, however, the passion for the turntables that became his true artistic love. The musical vision came to him, like in a dream, during a longer stay in Berlin.
No matter how big of a cliché it sounds, this is what shaped the musical styles of the man in question. Inspired by the German club scene, he saw a gap that needed to be filled in Copenhagen and came home and started taking care of business.
Giving birth to his concept of bringing the Copenhagen scene a synergy of music, art and that special MHM One atmosphere, several new initiatives saw the light of day. Amongst these were Kill Your Telly (KYT) and Klub DADA. KYT is a master among midgets on the party scene of Copenhagen and the club’s simple message of exchanging dead time in front of uninspiring TV sets, for high quality techno parties, was so powerful a concept that it went straight to the top of the collective mind of ravers in the Danish capital. This concept is still going strong with the unchanged concept of murdering TVs Around the city and bringing quality club experiences.
His DJ styles should be experienced rather than read, but since we have to nail them to paper, they are best described as: Godlike. On a more mortal scale, we would say that the style are groovy, bouncin.. and loopy. With a true passion for the art of DJ'ing, MHM One spins house and techno from deep to stomping with emphasis on the smooth and long mix. The journeys (yeah, that’s right, another techno travel agent) on which MHM One takes his dancefloor passengers, are hypnotizing and the sets are master mindedly executed as to ensure the distance, and thereby the ride, being equal to an overseas journey (still metaphorically speaking though).
Having spent almost a decade playing other people’s music, MHM One started producing his own in 2007. This led to releases on Tartelet Records and remixes of tracks by Martinez, Joe Montana, Spejderrobot and Atoi, just to mention a few.
His production skills and artistic fingerprints are very similar to what he is doing in the clubs. He draws inspiration from the dynamics and synergy between DJ and dance floor but also from the more melancholic moments of his personal life.
Musicwise the inspirations come from many different worlds of music – Funk, jazz, hip hop, electro, latin - all styles that have been an integral part of MHM Ones showcase since he started DJing.
MHM One’s debut EP Bubububadub is still burning hot. Loco Dice picked up the track for his NRK compilation The Lab and the record is still receiving massive support from everywhere.
