About Me
William Ian Jaws, a.k.a. Bilian, (pronounced as "billion"), has been working in clubs, studios, & on stage for over a decade. Starting ten years of rock & jazz drumming lessons at the young age of five, Bilian eventually moved on to melodic instruments & additional training in voice & experimental recording techniques. While continuing to write & record his songs, Bilian recorded & mixed live sound for local bands, further developing his skills & earning him respect locally & beyond.
Exposing thousands of people to the finest of industrial, electronic & darkwave music, Bilian's DJ & musical talents have been featured at many of New York's premiere clubs & venues, including CBGB's Gallery, Pyramid & Detour to name only a few. Along with his numerous DJ gigs, Bilian has also created a history of interesting musical projects & performances such as fronting the torture-tech band Christ Cage, among others, in addition to his 'Carved Insane: Pain Junkie' & 'Nomenclature: Storms In Time' projects, & is widely known for his dynamic musical prowess, intense stage presence, & imaginative writing & imagery. His diverse songwriting influences, ranging from heavy electronic rock to classical, further explains his strong focus on musical architecture & the raw, unyielding expression he presents in his music.
Bilian is involved with the promotion of his CD projects for 'Carved Insane: Pain Junkie' & 'Nomenclature: Storms In Time', the constant evolution of his production studio, & is currently immersed in the production of several future releases, including a vast amount of original, cover, & soundtrack material.

"DJ Bilian made a name for himself on Long Island as an industrial DJ. Now he has released a new project called Carved Insane... 'Pain Junkie' is a good first offering...it is very impressive. Well-produced and professional sounding, 'Pain Junkie' could easily be a label release...the songs are aggressive, yet danceable...a powerful CD with very good songs."- Ed Johnson (The Inside Connection)
"Ministry meets Nine Inch Nails meets A F**KING SLEDGE HAMMER! Listen and break some MORE shit!" - (Industrial Revolution 3)
"...This is absolutely brutal music...we suggest you take heed in the warning that this one might tear your spinal cord if you aren't careful."- (Integrated Arts VIII)

"A Dark Rock Project based in Long Island NY, composed primarily of Bilian & Ron Schecher (formerly of 'Bell, Book & Candle"). Nomenclature: Storms in Time blends ethereal/dark wave elements with more traditional rock stylings to create songs which have a high degree of emotion & depth, not to mention plenty of melodic hooks to pull listeners in & keep them wallowing in the maelstrom, enjoying every moment spent there. The processing & layering of the vocals give them an airy, other worldly quality, which compliments well the morose dreamscape painted underneath via synthesizers & guitars. The presence of driving percussion also endures wakefulness amidst all of this atmosphere. Nomenclature cranks out plenty of beautiful melodies, but also demonstrates how to pack quite a punch at the same time. Anyone seeking a change of pace in the world of ethereal Goth/Rock really should give Nomenclature: Storms In Time a listen." - (Rat Bastard, Legends Magazine)
