The Dude Ranch is a new private recording studio operated by Ian Larkin. The studio was created to provide a relaxing and creative environment for bands and solo artists that want high quality recordings at affordable prices. Whether you need an entire record done, some emergency overdubs, or want your home recordings mixed by someone with experience....we can do it.
Additionally, Ian does work out of other studios when needed whether it is by his choice or the artist's, and has relationships with several studios to accommodate these needs. Need a studio in NYC in order to get all those killer session musicians on your record? No problem. Need a very large room to accommodate your 12 piece band with horns, strings, and piano? No problem. Need a place with more guitar amps than Sam Ash? We know just the place. We thrive on getting things done right, which is also why we have a list of talented musicians for hire covering the majority of instruments.
If you're wondering who the hell Ian is, here's some info for you. Ian came up through Kampo Studios in NYC where he worked with artists such as Alicia Keys, They Might Be Giants, and Supergrass along with engineers and producers such as Pat Dillet, Tony Black, and Steve Greenwell. Ian also has a solid musical understanding having played guitar since he was 9.
Since every record and band is different, we suggest providing us with some info on what you need and/or would like when inquiring about rates. We can be surprisingly flexible ya know.
