The first official issue of 2007 is up and running. We have two new voices, Carolina Smart in fiction and Martins Iyoboyi in poetry. In the Legend of the Month section, we have regailed our readers with the story of Cupid and Psyche, in honor of St. Valentine's Day. Thank you to all of you who keep reading and please refer your friends.
Until further notice, bending spoons will be accepting submissions of short fiction and serial fiction. Published and unpublished talent both are welcomed to submit; no special consideration will be given to either.
We are no longer accepting poetry submissions. USEFUL DEFINITIONS


'zine: Originally, a shortened form of magazine. Has more recently become an independent term meaning a not-for-profit and/or free to the public publication focused on a specific subject or genre such as literature or celebrity gossib.
speculative fiction: a broad and general term used to encompass works of science fiction, fantasy, horror, as well as challenging and imaginative pieces that put readers in a position to question all that they have ever known to be truth. See Speculative Fiction entry in the Wikipedia online encyclopedia for more information and for history on the subject.

We are looking to meet writers and readers of speculative fiction, science fiction, fantasy, and horror.On a more individual basis we would like to meet: The Cheshire Cat, the Marquis de Carabas, Davey Havok, Criss Angel, Fox Mulder, Quinn Mallory, Carrie White, Hobbits and Elves, Morgana and the Lady of the Lake, Bryan Froud, Amy Brown, Jim Henson, Poe, Lord Byron, Len and Kira, the Lizard King, Lex Luthor, the Uncanny X-Men, and the Childlike Empress, just to name a few.
