MediaStream Records

MediaStream Records is a record label that opened in September 2007 with the release of an album called Óheflað Málfar (Unrated lyrics) - Dabbi T only released in Iceland. The founder of the company was Steinar Jónsson who now is the company's CEO. The label has since then gotten bigger and now has markets in United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Japan, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Ireland, Belgium, France, Germany, Iceland and few others to come. Before the label got international we where and still are a part of many of the biggest venues in Iceland, Iceland Airwaves and Culture Night for example. By signing with the label one also get's an option to join MediaStream Agency for touring purpose. In most cases our artists can only be signed at one label (MediaStream Records) except if the artist is signed at a label registered in a country that is not on our market list at the time of signing. We treat our artists very well and really listen to they're ideas. In 2008 the label joins SoundScan (Billboard) and in 2009 we will participate in the Grammy's. The label also gets the artist to numerous numbers of interviews, TV/radio showcases as well as talks shows and special event shows. As you may or may not have noticed MediaStream is only one company with many departments such as MediaStream Agency (artist promotion company/talent agency) and MediaStream Films (Feature & Short Film production as well as Music Video and commercial production.). MediaStream Agency is the artist promotion company and talent agency. We sign musical artists as well as dancers and technical staff for touring. The agency's market is unlimited witch means that we can arrange an event in any country in the world from underground bars to huge arenas and stadiums. We also take care of commercial appearances and other film/media participations for MediaStream Records. We make both large and small tour schedules from 4 events per month to cross country/worldwide multicity tours. Our crowd range is from 100-100.000 people (larger for webcasts and live broadcasts).
