Ludmila Amaral

A singer with a strong voice, capable of a notable interpretative versatility, Ludmila Amaral brings to her work the best influences with good taste and eclecticism. On the stage, she is always showing a contagious and spontaneous feeling that can touch the heart of any audience. Ludmila Amaral was born in Fortaleza-CE, northeastern Brazil. The intensity of her interpretations of jazz, blues, soul and popular brazilian music songs just impress everyone that listen to her work. Her experience as a professional singer, started when she was seventeen years old, was made with presentations in bars, parties and social events in her city of birth. Ludmila now is 25 years old and she’s graduated in advertising by the University of Fortaleza – UNIFOR – but her passion is definitely the music. Now she is also studing music at UECE, the most tradicional music college from Fortaleza. In his path, she took a good sort of influences, always paying special attention to female singers with strong and deep tones, like hers. The singer has in her work some great interpretations of songs made classics by the voices of Sade, Lisa Stansfield, Diana Krall, Nina Simone, Etta James, Joss Stone and others. In her Brazilian Music set list we can find a good selection of songs from Elis Regina, Tom Jobim, Rosa Passos, Leny Andrade, Chico Buarque, Los Hermanos, etc.. With the particularities of her voice tone, Ludmila makes always great presentations when she’s singing classics from the 70’s and also in styles like funk, soul, jazz and blues.
