About Me

Layout by CoolChaser "What else are you going to do with your weekend? A phrase that underlines the attitude of The Hot Lips. An indie band from various parts of Edinburgh “The Hot Lips are already making their mark on the local music scene” – Edinburgh Evening NewsHaving recently finished their demo CD entitled Don’t Let The Dust Settle the band are currently in the process of branching out from Edinburgh with the main objective of obtaining their first gigs in Glasgow , Dundee and possibly England. This will coincide with the release of their first digital download single later on in the year. The Hot Lips came together after several years of frustration at the lack of bands coming out of Edinburgh, consisting of Stu Bain (vocals / bass) , Scott Dutton (Guitar) , John Inkster (Guitar) and Ross Nicol ( Drums) the band was formed to change the capitals music scene for the better. Sold out shows at The Bongo Club, The Ark and Cabaret Voltaire have cemented “The ‘Lips” as one of Edinburgh’s finest up and coming bands in an already competitive scene.“The Hot Lips bring their brand of ballsy indie for yet another exciting live performance from one of Edinburgh’s more promising bands” – Jo Dunlop, Eventertainment. As said previously these types of live performances will be seen in major cities all over the country by the end of 2009 as well as the first single release digitally. Live performances will continue regularly throughout venues in Edinburgh, after all what else are they going to do with their weekends?
