Samuel Clemens (Mark Twain) and Yoda - Two completely unrelated individuals, but both equally interesting, Samuel Clemens was a wonderful writer, and had some very interesting things to say about the nature of people, and the basic expieriences we all share or witness (it may not have been his profession, but he was still quite insightful).... Yoda too understood the nature of people, and come on, the force... thats good stuff right there
I will add to my original want to meet people and add V.... he is just way too kick ass not to be mentioned...
"Voila! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a bygone vexation stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it's my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V."

"Glass and Steel"
Michael Aleksiuk
Shining towers of glass and steel,
Filled with people who cannot feel,
Is this shimmering vision real,
Or just an apparition?
You waken at the break of day,
With heart of stone and eyes of clay,
Life wasn’t meant to be this way,
But you need the money.
No time to pause, it’s time to go,
No time to watch the flowers grow,
Or marvel at the full moon’s glow,
You do not even notice.
You take the bus, the elevator,
You take your place, and eight hours later,
As your fear gets ever greater,
You take a tranquilizer.
The very next day you do it again,
And then again and again and again,
You say you will enjoy life when
Some day you can retire.
You’re not free like you’d hoped to be,
You’ve sold your soul, that’s plain to see,
For now … and for eternity,
The Devil would approve.
My darling child, I feel for you,
But there is nothing I can do,
You see, myself I’m that way too,
We’re in this thing together.
We’re slaves of Mammon, slaves of greed,
Craving things we do not need,
But self-made slaves, they can be freed,
The chains are in our heads.
Blushing fields of laughing flowers,
Kissed by sunshine’s gentle powers,
Bathed by joyful, soulful showers –
Could these simple things be ours?
They’re free to you and me.
Yet shining towers of glass and steel,
Are filled with people too numb too feel,
Can this unholy vision be real?
Is it a premonition…
Of the human condition…?
