The Technicolor Wolves have spent the last year uprooting the known indie-rock music scene of a desert gripped with retired summer homes and a youth tied to it's oasis, by replanting an idea of their own. An idea founded in 2003, only coming to fruition in the early summer of 2008 after a methodic and detailed process of boiling down the silver lining of their manifesto. The Technicolor Wolves have started their flight for a shelf in today's indie-rock scene.
Currently promoting their recent EP at venues and on iTunes, the 'Charismarithmetic EP', which was recorded and mastered by the band themselves this last winter, has placed the Technicolor Wolves on the trail for mainstream achievement. Having surpassed the average local garage bands of their day, the band received Best New Band of the Coachella Valley in 2008, and just recently, Best Band-Overall in 2009 by the desert's premier newspaper, The Desert Sun. Their achievements were garnered by a voting fan base that has grown tenfold since their first house show, prompting the production of merchandise that has blanketed the desert and EP sales to match.
Behind this local music-movement sit Lincoln Jesser, Dan Fromhart, Sultan Majid, and Andres Guarnizo. Each four bring drastically different strings of influence to their sound, scripting a final composition that is grand in its simplicity. Shared vocals that play from bands of the current decade layer over tight funk bass lines that keep in tempo with an aged latin drum theory. These musical influences strung with their personalities tie together the collective sound that is, the Technicolor Wolves.
