---- I have a passion for growing things, but I am really fired up about creating community gardens that allow people to grow wholesome, affordable, fresh food and that allow me to teach kids that food actually comes from someplace other than the supermarket or McDonalds. ... I also love the idea of "gorilla gardening" where ugly, neglected lots are secretly planted in the dead of the night. My other passions include photography, keeping my mind open and alive, music and filmmaking. -----------------
You Are a Visionary Soul
You are a curious person, always in a state of awareness.
Connected to all things spiritual, you are very connected to your soul.
You are wise and bright: able to reason and be reasonable.
Occasionally, you get quite depressed and have dark feelings.
You have great vision and can be very insightful.
In fact, you are often profound in a way that surprises yourself.
Visionary souls like you can be the best type of friend.
You are intuitive, understanding, sympathetic, and a good healer.
Souls you are most compatible with: Old Soul and Peacemaker SoulWhat Kind of Soul Are You?

My Interests

--------------
Am just getting more involved in community activities and love it - am a member of the Neighborhood Revitalization Zone Committee, the WAIM Community Garden Steering Committee, and am finishing up my "degree" in the Master Gardener program. And -- go ahead and yawn -- I have just rediscovered knitting. Have made an extensive wardrobe of sweaters for my dog, Charlie - what a patient model he is. Working on a kimono-sweater (for me) and blanket next... I also am beginning to practice Hatha yoga again, am exploring the Alexander Technique, and will be dragging out the mountain bike to begin exploring the town on two wheels. I love photography - am reading up on how I might make some money with it, i.e. selling stock photos... to pay for gas for the car, ha ha. ----

Movies:

I LOVE movies -- independent, foreign and oldie-but-goodies. I love imagination (2001: A Space Odyssey), beautiful or stylish photography (Lawrence of Arabia, Doctor Zhivago), cool soundtracks (Badlands), great acting (Lion in the Winter), and even the occasional twisted film (Natural Born Killers, Pulp Fiction) or just a good tale (The Man Who Would Be King, Rear Window, Out of Africa). I also like comedy - from Marx Brothers to Wedding Crashers. My latest favorites include The Darjeeling Express.

Books:

I read a lot of nonfiction. I really believe that truth is stranger than fiction. I did just finish a Murakami novel, The Wild Sheep Chase. Have read quite a bit about the power of intention, and am testing it out on the Universe! I have discovered that -- You can Do, Be or Have Anything -- is true. Have learned a lot from Esther Hicks

Heroes:

Most of my heroes come from my everyday life; people who are generous, who extend kindness even when it's not appreciated, people who defy logic and follow their dreams, creative people, and those who tell the truth despite the consequences.

Juggling the new writing job with freelancing so I can make ends meet. Feel like the earth is heaving up and down under my feet. Who knows, maybe this is God's way of teaching me to hang loose.

No one takes care of birds around here!

I had a wonderful day today -- so much went right -- had wonderful pizza at Manny's in Norwich -- come home, decide to give my bird Koko a treat - she likes to get out of the cage for a while -- so I ...

THE HIP BONE IS CONNECTED TO THE BACK BONE

Well, I learned something new about my body today -- if I try to lift something that's 50 pounds or so... I shouldn't.  Seems I displaced my pelvic bone when I lIfted a windowbox full of wet soil...
