I am a 45yr.old widowed-mother of 3. I was born in Edinburg, TX, raised between Texas, California & Michigan. I was born to Jose R. Sr. & Rosita Anzaldua, migrant workers of Mexican descent. They came here to this country for a better way of life and lots of dreams for themselves and the family that they hoped to some day to have.
Well, 5 kids later ,we traveled through out the states .At the end of crop season, we would always returned home to Texas on time for the school season( Even if it meant leaving the crops early ).My father wanted us to get an education no matter what it took, some- thing he never had. Well, “Dicho y echoâ€, we all graduated from high school. None of us went on to college, but some of our kids did or will with GOD willing.
My oldest just graduated from Central Michigan University (GO CHIPPEWAS!).My 2nd eldest is working for a Migrant Day Care Corp. with a CDA under her belt & working towards her degree. My youngest is in Jr. High School , and he’s already a sports jock; plays football (7yrs.),wrestling (7yrs.), soccer(8yrs),baseball(1yr.), swimming (2yrs.), & some basketball, and dreams of some day playing Pro-football.
As for me ,I worked for a Health Service Clinic as a CNA/Dental Asst. & translator for 21yrs.I loved working with my Raza .And for all that & my 25 wonderful yrs of marriage my late husband, Rolando Revilla Sr. gave me, I have the Great Lord to thank for.
