Cathryn Green has an unlimited passion for music and hails from South Africa. Growing up as one of five children from humble beginnings in a town called East London in her home country she dreamt from an early age of becoming a singer/songwriter. Faced with the stark realities of life at the age of 17, she realised she would have to follow the sensible route for a steady income and started working at an auditing firm. Her sheer determination helped her complete her studies after seven years of working and studying simultaneaously. While working in the corporate environment for nine years in total, she once again revisited her childhood dream of singing and decided to seize this dream. She started writing songs in August 2007 and before long had written various songs, six of which have been recorded in studios in Dublin and South Africa. One of her songs, “Just Ask”, is regularly played on Link FM, a community radio station in the Eastern Cape province in South Africa. The song was also featured on Algoa FM, a popular contemporary radio station in the Eastern Cape. This talented singer not only writes her own songs, but plays the piano and the guitar. Her unique soulful voice, which has a Celtic edge to it, will grip at your heart. Cathryn's music can be described as thought-provoking music and every person will be able to identify with it.
