My all time favorite is Joni Mitchell but a close second is Ani Difranco. I like blues, jazz, folk, rock, and classical. Some other favorites: Daisy May, Sarah Harmer, Billie Holiday, Dar Williams, Counting Crows, Elliot Smith, Beth Orton, Bob Dylan, John Coltrane, Simon & Garfunkel, Van Morrison, Gillian Welch, Jack Johnson, Nick Drake, Patty Griffen, and Greg Brown. I also love NPR.

Movies:

I like a huge range of movies, but my all time favorite is A River Runs Through It. I also love, Wonder Boys, Clue, The Hours, The Straight Story, The Truth About Cats and Dogs, Shawshank Redemption, Immortal Beloved, Amlie, Annie Hall, Searching For Bobby Fisher, Good Will Hunting, Rivers and Tides, Best in Show, Erin Brockovich, Reality Bites, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Seven Years in Tibet, Winged Migration.

Television:

I basically hate all television except The West Wing (I don't have cable). I am a completely obsessive fan of the West Wing.

Books:

When I read for fun, I read poetry. Neruda, Rilke, Berry, Sarton, Oliver, Whitman, Rumi, and on and on.

Heroes:

The Parsnip.
