Out of the trees and into the woods, the duo NEMEK was formed in late february 2008, when Boaz Goldberg's daughter, Lucy, was born. Kobi Or and Boaz Goldberg met in a Tel Avivian record shop many years ago, but only started talking on the phone in early 2006. Then, when Boaz (Goldberg is a Rock writer and editor for Tel Aviv's "City Mouse" music section) interviewed Kobi (Or is a legendary rock writer; he started back in 1979) for a magazine article, the idea of forming a loop oriented Dark Ambient/Psychedelic Drone/Noise combo with a passion for neo-detective/suspense/crime literature kind of lyrics slowly started growing. As the vision grew and grew, Goldberg found a reason to pick up his electric guitar again. Before you know it, Kobi & Boaz became...NEMEK
