Influences: I enjoy a very wide spectrum of music. From classic jazz, bebop, hardbop, gospel, soul, funk, hip hop, downtempo electronica, bugalú, son cubano, son jarocho, New York salsa, Puerto Rico salsa, Mexican salsa, cumbia from all over Latin America, from Los Angeles to Perú to Indie and classic British rock, Northern Soul, folk, folktronica, country, ska, dub, experimental electronica, sound art, minimal techno, deep house. Naming all the artists would be impossible, here are just a few: Abe Duque, Rancho Relaxo All Stars, John Coltrane, Art Blakey, Dizzie Gillespie, Miles Davis, Arturo Sandoval, Eddie Palmieri, Oscar D'León, The Lebrón Brothers, Quantic Soul Orchestra, Spanish Harlem Orchestra, Louie Vega, Luisito Quintero, Larry Levan, Nortec, La Orquesta Silenciosa, La Sonora Santanera, La Tropa Vallenata, Toy Selectah, Sonidero Nacional, Nostalgia 77 Octet, Jazztronik, Disko B, Tru-Thoughts, Fania All Stars, Cinematic Orchestra, Ninja Tune, Hidden Agenda, New York Salsa, Cal Tjader, Johnny Colón, Andrés Landero, Alberto Pedraza, and many many more.
Sounds Like: A mix between the sounds of the New York mestizo underground and the beats of the Mexico City sonideros (mobile street discos) with a London town Latino sensibility.
