About Me

I am a friend, sister, daughter, teacher, painter, dancer, and lover. A typical day of mine is teaching art during the day, having a home-cooked meal, and if I am lucky spending all night dancing. I own my own home and love spending time in my yard and garden. I am currently working on a masters degree in education. One day I hope to teach in a college or university out in California, where the sun might just have to be my best friend. Everyday I realize how lucky I am and that my life is filled with love and laughter.

lots and lots of music. some that always touch me, bjork, cure, daft punk, portishead, depeche mode, prince, white stripes, tribe called quest, blondie, janes addiction, pixies, readiohead, violent femmes, nirvana, de la soul, al green, otis redding, ghostly artists, detroit techno, i've been loving all the 80's lately...erasure, eurythmics, the smiths mostly everything but country and crappy new pop

Movies:

Pretty on Pink, watched it a million times in my teen years Comedies mostly, No horror, dramas are cool too, but I'd rather laugh

Television:

Old reruns, anything mindless to nap while watching

Books:

All Dr. Seuss, Alice Walker, Mostly Biographies...anything but what I have to read in my Masters class

Heroes:

family and friends that love me, still waiting for the great hero to come...you know the one that's got to be strong, and he's got to be fast, and fresh from the fight!
