I AM A BASTARD, at least that is what some friends will call me. But a loveable bastard at that, and a loving bastard. I use the word bastard in the sence that i tend to push buttons on friends/enemies/strangers that drive them crazy...but i do love them.....
I love music, been playing in bands since 14?, Lucky Devil, Wyle E., One Groovy Coconut, The Serial Poets, stage names: Joey Devil, Joey Coconut, Prince Alarming, Capt. ACID, etc...
I love Tequila...Tezon, or Milagro. Patron is so over rated, but tolerable...other faves are Tequila Chamucos, Partida, Don Julio 1942. i avoid Cuervo at all costs.... I smoke Cigars (it helps i work for a cigar co.) Right now i am smoking Chateau Real, and occasional Root.
For those checking up on me (see my pics for photographic evidence).... heres the update. (short Version). Settled down, Happily Married for 7+ years now, 2 amazing kids that teach ME things everyday. re-located with my company Drew Estate to Miami, where i have since sold off all my winter clothes and spend oodles of time at the beach. Currently not involved musically down here as of yet, still dreaming of putting together my Mariachi/marching band from hell together.br/

Music:

i dig a spectrum of music, from this to that. Tom Waits, Scratch Lee Perry, Jellyfish, Hendrix, Dan Zanes, Mighty Diamonds, Scattershot, Victor Rice, Marc Ribot, Jeff Buckley, James Brown, The Slackers, Black Sabbath, Eartha Kitt, Elvis Costello, etc, etc,.

I sing/entertain. can play a bit of every inst. to some extent. MY voice has decended down, down, down, to the lowest of registers..i can rattle windows with my full force tone....a bit like Waits, a bit like Lou Rawls, a bit like Louis Armstrong.....

During the One Groovy Coconut SKA detour, i had the pleaseure of playing with some great players from the NY SKA scene. NYSJE (New York Ska Jazz Ensemble), the Bluebeats, Toasters, The Scofflaws. Our one and only SKA release, One Groovy Coconut's More Like This Than That was i thought, one of the better late 90's ska records. there is a follow up to it (still to be recorded someday). with great album art too!! from SHAG, prior to him exploading all over the place.

Once i get my feet planted in Miami, i will commence with the forming of Los Mariachi de los Muertos, my new rocksteady/dub/mexicali band, from hell......

Movies:

Man Bites Dog, Shawshank Redemption, Leaving Las Vegas, Beautiful Mind, Bram Stokers (FFCs') Dracula, Apocolypse Now, Short Cuts, At Play In The Fields of the Lord, Any Godzilla Movie.....etc etc

Television:

Most Extreme Elimination Challenge, absolutley nothing that appears on channels 2.4.5.7 or 9. lots of History Channel..Discovery Channel..Animal Planet and a mountain of JETIX and NOGGIN with the kids.

Books:

i read childrens books, to my children, other than that, i dont read books... magazines, newspapers, etc yes...books, no.UPDATE: I NOW READ BOOKS. as of 2006 i have swithced to book reading, completed my first, 1421 the year that china discovered america. my next read will be CHE.

Heroes:

we dont need another hero, we just need some common sense.
