Unit 25

Unit 25 is an all original, four-piece band based out of central Florida. With heavy undertones mixed with melodic overtones, the band progresses towards a radio-friendly, all age centered show. Unit 25 thrives on its ability to present variety and an over-all outstanding performance that captivates audiences.
The project that later became Unit 25 was founded by guitarist Eric Robinson and drummer Danny Yunker (both formerly of Disypha and Etchet in Stone. After the passing of their vocalist Mike Worthington, Disypha disbanded. Hesitant but encouraged and strengthened by their passion, the duo pressed on to start a new project and began writing in late 2007 By January 2008, bassist Bruce Bacon (formerly of One World Past) joined the group. Having met Eric on a jobsite and being introduced by co-workers, the two began talking about music, dedication and drive. Bruce was just what the band was looking for and agreed to sign on. The band was still looking for a vocalist but no once seemed to quite have the necessary chemistry. While on yet another jobsite, Eric ran into an old aquaintance whom he had previously shared the stage with a time or two before. Vocalist Paul Shelton had been bouncing in and out of projects without satisfaction. Fearing that his passion was facing failure, Pauly was prepared to leave music. At wits end, he succumbed to Eric's proposal to try out for the position of vocalist/frontman. Seeing potential for a lethal project, the three invited him back the following day and each day after until finally requesting him to stay.
After a long debate about a name, the quartet settled on Unit 25. The name was suggested by Bruce in reference to the address of their practice studio. Thus, Unit 25 was born.
Unit 25 pride themselves on their ability to entertain all ages professionally and respectfully. Profanity is avoided in both their stage performance and lyrics in order to promote a positive message.
Their three song demo appropriately titled Demology was recorded by a friend of the band, Alex Kalagian, in his personal studio in mid 2008. (Alex is currently the drummer for his project Found and can be reached HERE )
