About Me

Started playing at the age of 12, but only became a musician at the age of 22, upon the discovery of jazz manouche. I discovered jazz manouche and crossed Europe in order to learn this enchanting style, from teachers such as Lollo Meier.

Coming back to Israel, I founded Swing de Gitanes, the first Israeli jazz manouche ensemble. In a year and a half, we preformed all across Israel, from cafés to festivals. In July 2008 I decided to part from the other members of the ensemble, form a trio of my own and record the first Israeli jazz manouche album, dubbed Premier (at FourT4 Records, which is a little label I founded for the cause). Currently working on a secret new project, always in search for the fresh new sound that does not deny the heritage left us by the great Django Reinhardt and his successors.
