Originally formed in 2007 as the Tre’ 06 Klick, this group has created its own sound from a mixture of styles, starting with a Saskatchewan based hip hop, the dirty south, and the Dominican Republic. From there, they expanded to add an African R & B soul and a modern Hispanic feel, making the Klick 5 members big. They added their P.R, Blaze and their DJ, D-Nyce in 2007 and the Klick was complete!
Unfortunately, it was not soon after in early 2008 that the Klick ended up going their separate ways due to some conflicts within the group. That left three members – Dino McNizzle, Mc Negro and L’il Prince Mzwa. Taking a break for a while over the summer, the group collaborated with other local artists, including Paul Benjamin, performing at the Jazz Festival in summer of 08. The fall of that year brought the three together, and they became the Tre' 06. Since then, the group has grown again to add Vendetta Agonizing and are producing under his own label, Psychosomatic Records. In early 2009, Blaze returned as P.R and the crew are at it again. Working along with the crew will be Outspoken, who helps to create the beats and hooks and helping the hype and promo end of it for the crew.
They are currently working on producing, mastering and releasing their CD for 2009, titled Criminals. They will be working with such artists as Mercenary productions to produce beats and Oliver Twist out of Regina plus many more to come.
Bringing together different cultural backgrounds from the Dirty South, to a horror-core style, you'll notice the dirty south crunkness, reggaeton soul and tough no nonsense lyrics.
Dino McNizzle brings it with the Dirty South style, and Vendetta with a horrorcore feel.
While others try their best to sound like each other, the Tre' 06 has created their own sound, style and flavour over the years. Their music will either make you run to the dance floor or bop your head. All of these talented individuals mix together to form Da Tre' 06 and are bound to make it big!
