About Me

Correa Luna or: How I learned to stop struggling with the guitar and fell in love with voice. If you were to take all of music in its entirety and compress it , the result would be what inspires me most: voice. When you strip down a song to its singing melody, taking away all style restraints, the voice becomes a conduit for pure personal expression. It's what most of us do--not a very original process, but it really fascinates me. You hear a song somewhere, the supermarket, a taxi ride, a party and the melody--viral in nature--sticks in your head. You hum it, reconstruct forgotten lyrics, and find yourself in the process of invention. A new sound percolates.
