Photos by Robert Scholz - Thank You!From the UK tracks via life and music in Egypt plus workshops with kids in Swaziland South Africa, vocalist Mills arrived in Berlin to do one concert in the year 2000. She decided on the spot to stay - a decision made on impulse and through intuition. Mills was performing at the time with "Ensemble Modern" Trombonist Uwe Dierksen's Musiktheater Group "Mavis". Mavis - a bombastic show with influences from Zappa to Drum n Bass revealed the layered vocal skills of Mills, as she recited texts and sang Zappa-like melodies with the force of big percussion sets, tuba, keys, trombone and electric guitar. The real intuition behind Mills staying in Berlin led to a meeting with "Seeed" Saxophonist Mo Delgado - who at that time led the cult tuesday night jam session at "Acud", where Mills began singing on a weekly basis also with Drum n Bass bands "The Human Sampler" and "Audiomoon". These revolutionary sessions sparked an inevitable collaboration between the two and they have been producing music together ever since. Mo Delgado was then also a co-founder and member of the band "Service". Service - a slammin' pool of Berlin musicians worked together to create a unique Jazz sound. Mo Delgado's versatile music arranging and horn section talents came into play. The band recorded a CD as well as having a great number of performances under their belt. Mo then went on to become a Seeed member. FROGG became official in 2006 when the band made their debut in London at the Fertilizer Festival (a festival of German based bands including "Seeed" and "Chicks on Speed".) DJ Luke aka Luke 4000, already a Seeed member at the time joined them for their debut performance adding new dimensions to the live set. Since then FROGG have been producing and developing their all rules breaking R&B/Hip Hop sound.
