About Me

I love music. About 4 years ago I created a musical identity known as Hercules Mandarin, to use as a label for some songs I had written. I made some demos, then in summer 2007 made an album, which is called "Blonde. Drunk. Brilliant."Around that time I got a band together to play the songs with. There has been a few line up changes. The band is now Chris on drums, Cat on the violin, Steven on bass. Everyone is amazing as a person and a musician so it's all good really.I also play bass for The Midden and Harper & Reid. I host the weekly unsigned showcase at The Aragon on Byres Road. Message me if you would like to play! I also appear regularly at the Free Candy Sessions at The Liquid Ship on Great Western Road, which is without question a legendary institution on the Glasgow music scene, run by a walking talking definition of the word music, Dochan MacMillan. What a guy! Other people that I am indebted to in the Glasgow scene include Pat Monahan, Crawford Smith, Craig McGee, Kate Reid... there are more but I have to draw the line somewhere!See you all down The Aragon! The background photograph of my page is by Jonathan Tollan.www.flickr.com/photos/jonathan_tollanI edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)
