Samurai Champloo...the new obsession
I LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE Firemen!!! I think they are soooooo freakin' hot!!!! Oh and geophysicists...I'm not really sure why...I wanna learn how to surf and I want to know the hows abouts I can become a ninja!!!!I love the water!!! Comedy clubs and shows are the best ever!!! When I'm not on my drawing board of schemes and plans to dominate and be the captain of earth, I do normal people things to hide my true intentions. Those activities include snickering to myself, watching my best friends make fools out of themselves while I get it all on film so I can use the material later for blackmale, doing my thing at work, working on loving my job, constantly trying to convince myself that things aren't as bad as they seem, playing my violin and learning the piano all over again, Music, getting gigs, Music, working, working things out, working out, working in, working on my jazz-singing skills, working on my "people" skills, working on my degree, working on my dancing techniques, working on my car, working on my alcohol tolerance, working on , under, over and around things - working in general....Making fun of people, trying hard not to get caught while I make fun of people, music, Michael Buble, teaching music, friends, family and trying to figure out how the hell I'm going to meet Michael Buble - he's so dreamy!
I want to meet everybody and your mom.....
Everything and anything else in between....
"When I open my eyes I must sigh, for what I see is contrary to my religion, and I must despise the world which does not know that music is a higher revelation than all wisdom and philosophy." - L.V.Beethoven
There is always a movie for the right occasion but here are the top ten that I can watch anytime:
1. THE ROCK - this movie is my bible...
2. Leon - The Professional – A very close second but not enough sarcasm…
3. 16 Candles – “Maybe she’s retarded…"
4. Can’t Hardly Wait – “Why you gotta waste my flavoh fo?! Damn!!â€
5. Princess Mononoke – one of the most amazing orchestral scores I’ve ever heard
6. Back to the Future – “McFly!!!!â€
7. Letters from Iwojima – I don’t normaly cry in movies, but this one had me ballin’ like a little biatch!!
8. How to make an American Quilt/Joy Luck Club - Essentially the same movie with different cultures
9. Transformers the Movie – Who can deny Optimus Prime a spot in celluloid greatness?
10. Beter Off Dead – “Do you know what the street value is of this mountain?!†This movie ignited my lifelong crush/bordering on obsession with John Cusack....sigh.
Cartoon Network: ATHF, Family Guy, Robot Chicken, Sealab - Adult Swin Stuff. I LOVE Spike TV - funny stuff only of course, Comedy Central. I used to watch Men Behaiving Badly with Rob Schneider, but they cancelled that - that show was so funny. Nothing else really. I hate reality shows - seriously folks - we need to stop stealing Japanese people's ideas....
Tim O'Brien Books - specially The Things They Carried, White Oleander, Island of the Blue Dolphins, Recipe Books, The Book of Man, Bless Me Ultima, The Attack on Pearl Harbor, All Shel Silverstein Books, Family - a collaboration of humanity, I'm the One I want, Ringu, All Nick Bantock Books - specially The Griffin & Sabine Trilogy, JD Robb Series, Series of Unfortunate Events, Running with Scissors, Stiff, The Night my mom Met Bruce Lee, The Tapestries, Memoirs of a Geisha, The Way Things Work, Calvin & Hobbes (Lazy Sunday Book), Dr. Seuss, Garfield Fat Books, Amy Tan Novels, The Tanglewood Tales, A Farewell to Arms, The Natural Basically...A little and a lot of everything - There's so many I can't remember right now.
My Mom and Dad, Beethoven, all of my teachers who inspired me to share my love for music with the world - Give these people credit - these are the people who should be running the world, but obviously, they are too busy teaching in class rooms. My sister who inspires me to get up every morning and make a better person out of myself, my family and friends, my brother who reminds me that I can really suck sometimes, my little brother who is a daily living reminder of how wonderful kids can grow up to be, God and people in general.
